Bonny Bolthole

With Scotland's predictably unpredictable weather, having a great place to cosy-in is vital for an outdoorsy holiday. Bolthole delivers this on every front. Fond as I am of Scotland's countryside, I had to drag myself away from Bolthole each day and couldn't wait to get back to enjoy all its adorable nooks. The upstairs gallery with its picture-perfect window framing the view of Strathardle and the Cairngorms was an absolute favourite but so was the sociable kitchen with three cute windows, and the luxurious lounge area, plus lots of well positioned garden benches meant we could catch the sun throughout the day while enjoying different angles on Boltholes many views and vistas. The cottage's great proximity to excellent walking opportunities is yet another USP. Can't wait to go back!

Perth-ection

A picturesque cottage in stunning Perth. Host extremely welcoming and excellent communication. A fantastic getaway from the rat race however still a 10min drive from Perth and Pitlochry if a tipple or night out takes your fancy. With indoor and outdoor log burning fire and chiminea, year round warmth and comfort is guaranteed. A superb location for relaxation and a peaceful back drop for a quite trip away

Tranquility and the essence of Scotland

As a gift from my partner for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised that the gift kept on giving. Firstly the approach to the cottage warms you with a sweet undertone of cuteness. As soon as you enter this homeliest of homes you are consumed by its welcoming and spacious living area with a picturesque upper mezzanine. The whole trip was a delight from start to finish in what is possibly my new favourite get away. Thank you to the Andersons for a delight and a pleasure of a weekend

A Golfer’s Paradise

My elderly father and I booked to stay at Bolthole Cottage for a weekend golf trip. Given the perfect location of the cottage, we were spoiled for choice with the vast selection of picturesque courses within a CHIP and a PUTT! Not only is the location perfect, but the comfortable interior of the cottage was the ideal place to rest tired legs after a long day on the course, or in my fathers case, drown your sorrows after a serious thrashing. In addition, the cottage is stocked with an eloquent sufficiency of toiletries, not to mention a seemingly endless supply of towels in case you get a HOLE- IN-ONE! I couldn’t recommend this cottage highly enough for everyone from golfers, to walkers, to anyone who is simply looking to spend some time in a tranquil city escape. Bolthole Cottage is well above PAR!!

Pitlovely

The following review is based off of an overnight trip of 5 young, easy to please Gentlemen. It shall be broken down into the usual sections of PROS, CONS and a detailed CONCLUSION. PROs What can be said about the drive up to the cottage?! TREEmendous. A lovely drive through lush green forest and countryside leads to a beautifully tucked away cottage known as The Bolthole Cottage. Upon approaching the cottage you’ll notice many sheep of all colours and abilities, rolling mountains and an epic micro climate promising to provide atmospheric weather for all occasions. Initial impressions of the cottage warm the heart and set the mood, with chopped firewood outside to be used in the indoor and outdoor fire pits. Being a group of 5 young gentlemen, we welcomed the ability to congregate outside on the decking participating in appropriate confabulation while sipping some cheap and sweet Aldi beer. The cottage houses two double bedrooms, graciously supplied with towels and shower gels in each. The two modern bathrooms catered for every eventuality, one of which has a 6 man shower. Activities at the cottage are only limited to the imagination. With a beautiful interior and even beautiful surroundings, we opted for a Nintendo 64 and a rugby ball, because we are pre millennials. The cottage is a short drive to Pitlochry, and Blairgowrie, if you require more beer or fancy sitting in a traditional pub people watching tourists. CONs The only acceptable and feasible downside to this cottage is that we cannot create enough legitimate excuses to tell our boss where to go so we can actually live here. In conclusion As I have been a loyal patron of the Andersons properties for 2 decades I am never left without a smile on my face. A fantastic cottage for any occasion. Highly recommended to every and all. 5 big stars.

A lovely cottage for a relaxing break.

Bolt Hole Cottage, Perthshire, is in a lovely, quiet location with views of the Caringorms. The living room, with wood-burner, is cosy and very comfortable and well appointed with matching furnishings and accessories. The two double bedrooms continue the co-ordinated theme throughout and I slept very comfortably throughout my visit. One bedroom has an en-suite wet room and the other bathroom is next to the other bedroom. The full size kitchen has all appliances and a full complement of crockery and glasses - everything you'd need. The upstairs gallery window, which has comfy chairs, gives a fantastic view over the countryside. I loved the outside decking area and extensive gardens to the back and front of the cottage. Overall, everything was very clean and tidy and I will definitely be back. A lovely cottage for a relaxing break.
